Cheesy Boiled Potato Fries
This recipe gives you soft-on-the-inside, crispy-on-the-outside potato fries coated in gooey melted cheese.
Ingredients:
- 3 large potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold)
- 1 teaspoon salt (for boiling)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch (for extra crispiness)
- 2 tablespoons butter or oil (for frying)
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:

Boil the potatoes
- Peel and cut the potatoes into thick fries.
- Boil in salted water for 5-7 minutes until slightly tender (but not too soft).
- Drain and let them dry completely.

Coat the fries
- In a bowl, mix cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, and black pepper.
- Toss the boiled potatoes in this mixture to coat evenly.

Fry the potatoes
- Heat butter or oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Fry the potatoes until crispy and golden brown on all sides.

Melt the cheese
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over the hot fries.
- Cover for 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts.
