Crispy Chicken Tenders with Dipping Sauce Recipe

Here's a delicious recipe for crispy chicken tenders with a simple dipping sauce!

Ingredients for Chicken Tenders:

  • 1 lb chicken tenders (or chicken breasts, cut into strips)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (preferably panko for extra crunch)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Ingredients for Dipping Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

For the Chicken Tenders:

  1. Prepare the breading station: Set up three shallow bowls. In the first bowl, mix the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In the second bowl, beat the eggs. In the third bowl, mix breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.

  2. Coat the chicken: Dip each chicken tender into the flour mixture, making sure it’s fully coated. Then dip it into the egg, and finally into the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere the breadcrumbs.

  3. Fry the chicken: Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is hot (test by dropping a breadcrumb in – it should sizzle), fry the chicken tenders in batches for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C). Use tongs to remove the tenders and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

For the Dipping Sauce:

  1. Mix the sauce: In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, honey (if using), and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir well until smooth.

  2. Serve: Serve the crispy chicken tenders with the dipping sauce on the side for a delicious snack or meal.

Enjoy your crispy, golden chicken tenders with a creamy dipping sauce!
