Cajun Salmon and Shrimp

Cajun Salmon and Shrimp

Servings: 2-3

Ingredients

2 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

8–10 large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter

1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)

½ tsp smoked paprika

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp onion powder

¼ tsp salt (if Cajun seasoning isn't salty)

¼ tsp black pepper

¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)

1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

1. Prep the seafood: Pat the salmon fillets and shrimp dry with a paper towel.

2. Season: In a small bowl, mix Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne (if using). Rub the salmon fillets and shrimp with olive oil (or melted butter), then coat them evenly with the seasoning mix.

3. Cook the salmon:

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.

Sear the salmon for 3-4 minutes per side until crispy on the outside and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.

4. Cook the shrimp:

In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook for about 2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.

5. Finish and serve:

Drizzle with fresh lemon juice and garnish with parsley.

Serve with lemon wedges and your favorite sides, like cauliflower rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted vegetables.
