Cheesy Stuffed Mushrooms
Ingredients:
20 large mushrooms, stems removed
1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
½ cup cream cheese, softened
¼ cup green onions, chopped
½ cup cooked bacon or sausage (optional)
2 cloves garlic, minced
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon paprika (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Clean mushrooms and remove stems. Finely chop stems and set aside.
3. In a skillet, sauté chopped mushroom stems with garlic over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
4. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sautéed mushrooms, green onions, salt, pepper, and paprika. Stir in half of the shredded cheese.
5. Spoon the mixture into mushroom caps and place them on a baking sheet.
6. Top with remaining cheese.
7. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
8. Serve warm and enjoy!
