Crockpot Ravioli Lasagna


Ingredients:


1 lb ground beef (or Italian sausage)


1 small onion, diced


3 cloves garlic, minced


1 (24 oz) jar sugar-free marinara sauce (like Rao’s or homemade)


1 (20-25 oz) bag frozen cheese ravioli


1 cup ricotta cheese


1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese


1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese


1 teaspoon Italian seasoning


1/2 teaspoon salt


1/2 teaspoon black pepper


1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)


1 cup shredded mozzarella for topping



Instructions:


1. Brown the Meat:


In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with diced onion until browned. Drain any excess grease.


Stir in garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1 more minute.


Pour in the marinara sauce, stir, and remove from heat.




2. Layer in the Crockpot:


Spray the crockpot with nonstick spray.


Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom.


Add a layer of frozen ravioli.


Dollop ricotta cheese over the ravioli.


Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan.


Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, ending with sauce and cheese on top.




3. Cook:


Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours, until the ravioli is tender and the cheese is melted.




4. Serve:


Let sit for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
