How To Make Classic Chicken Salad

 










Ingredients:


2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced (rotisserie works great!)


½ cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter version)


1 celery stalk, finely chopped


¼ cup red onion, finely chopped


1 tsp Dijon mustard


1 tbsp lemon juice


½ tsp salt


¼ tsp black pepper


¼ cup chopped parsley (optional)


¼ cup sliced almonds or chopped pecans (optional, for crunch)



Instructions:


1. In a large bowl, mix the mayo, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.



2. Add the chicken, celery, red onion, and any optional mix-ins. Stir until well combined.



3. Chill for 30 minutes for the flavors to meld (optional but recommended).



4. Serve on lettuce wraps, in a sandwich, or with crackers.
