Parmesan and Spinach Cheese Twists


Ingredients


1 sheet puff pastry, thawed


½ cup frozen spinach, thawed and squeezed dry


½ cup grated Parmesan cheese


½ cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese


1 clove garlic, minced


½ tsp black pepper


½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)


1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)



Instructions


1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.



2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to smooth it out.



3. Mix spinach, Parmesan, mozzarella, garlic, pepper, and red pepper flakes in a bowl.



4. Spread the cheese mixture evenly over half of the puff pastry. Fold the other half over the top and press down gently.



5. Cut into strips (about 1-inch wide) and twist each strip a few times.



6. Brush with egg wash for a golden crust.



7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until golden brown and crispy.



8. Cool slightly and enjoy warm!
