Tennessee Onions

 











Tennessee Onions Recipe


Ingredients:


3–4 large sweet onions (Vidalia, if available)


1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted


1 teaspoon salt


1/2 teaspoon black pepper


1/2 teaspoon garlic powder


1/2 teaspoon paprika


1 1/2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend)


1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese


1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)



Instructions:


1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).



2. Slice onions into 1/4-inch thick rings and separate them.



3. Layer the onions in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.



4. Drizzle melted butter evenly over the onions.



5. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.



6. Sprinkle cheeses evenly over the top. Add oregano if using.



7. Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
