4️⃣ Combine & ferment: Pour the yogurt mixture into the warm milk, mix well, and transfer to jars. Cover with lids or cloth. πŸΊπŸ’›

5️⃣ Incubate: Keep in a warm place (like an oven with the light on or a yogurt maker) for 6-8 hours. The longer, the tangier! ⏳πŸ•―️

TggTHE CLASSIC PANDESAL

-Pandesal is a common bread roll in the Philippines. It is a Filipino version of dinner roll but dredge in bread crumbs. Sweet, a little bit salty, soft and fluffy we enjoyed this every morning. This is an easy recipe and beginner friendly. I may say this can be soft until 3 days, just store it in an airtight container.

This recipe yields 18 pcs standard size pandesal.


Here's what you'll need:

1 cup warm milk (250ml)

¼ cup butter (55g)

1 egg

2 tsp instant yeast (6g)

3¼ cup all purpose flour (405g)

¼ cup sugar (50g)

1 tsp salt (5g)

2 tablespoons of oil for the bowl

½ cup bread crumbs


 In a bowl, mix together milk, sugar, yeast and egg.

 Add flour and salt. Mix until incorporated.

Add unsalted butter then mix until butter is fully absorbed.

 Knead, slap and fold until dough is smooth, about 7 minutes.

 Smooth into a ball, coat with oil and cover for 1 hour. 

Punch air out and transfer to a floured counter.

Divide into 18 equal pieces. 

Roll into a ball, cover and bench rest for 10 minutes.

Take each dough ball and press to release air and roll into a ball again.

 Pinch ends to seal and dredge in bread crumbs.

 Place in a 9x13 inches baking dish or pan. 

Cover for 25 minutes and preheat oven at 170C/340F.

Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until light brown.

Serve and enjoy this super soft and butter pan de sal buns.

Cheesy Crispy Potato Rounds

Spicy Roasted Cauliflower

3️⃣ Roast for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.

4️⃣ Meanwhile, mix hot sauce & sugar-free honey in a bowl.

5️⃣ Remove cauliflower from the oven and toss it in the spicy sauce.

6️⃣ Return to the oven for 5 more minutes to caramelize.

Ingredients


For the loaf:


1 ½ cups all-purpose flour


1 tsp baking powder


½ tsp salt


½ cup unsalted butter, softened


1 cup granulated sugar


2 large eggs


½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt


¼ cup fresh lemon juice


1 tbsp lemon zest


1 tsp vanilla extract



For the glaze:


1 cup powdered sugar


2 tbsp fresh lemon juice



Instructions


1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.



2. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.



3. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.



4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in sour cream, lemon juice, zest, and vanilla.



5. Gradually add dry ingredients, mixing just until combined.



6. Pour batter into the pan and bake for 45–50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.



7. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan.
